Kris Humphries (Getty Images) Kris Humphries got less than a friendly welcome back to the courts in NYC Wednesday. Kim Kardashian's ex was booed by 20,000 Knicks fans at Madison Square Garden!
The New Jersey Nets star played for only six minutes of the game, but each time he appeared on the court he was loudly heckled. If the guy so much as touched the ball, the stadium erupted. Luckily, he's getting paid a reported $8 million this season, which seems like enough to make you able to ignore boisterous fans.
When asked about the rowdy bunch after the game, Humphries sarcastically told an interviewer: "I was so focused on the game, I couldn't hear that, bro."
He added that he wasn't sure if he'd receive the same treatment while playing other teams this season, but claimed he didn't care, either. "I don't know. I'm not too focused on it. I'm just here to win games," he said.
But, if a Madison Square Garden commentator is right -- that Humphries has "now become the most hated man in the NBA" -- then it looks like it's going to be a long, loud road for the ex reality star this season.
Humps' teammates don't seem to worried about him, though. "We're here to give him some man hugs if he needs them, but he should be fine," said Deron Williams.
Here the boos here.
