Longtime animal rights activist Pink stepped in to save a poor puppy's life recently, shelling out thousands of dollars on emergency surgery for a dog found in a Los Angeles river.
Also, Madonna appears to be making out with herself in her new perfume ad, Rihanna wrapped up her international tour in the UK, and Matisyahu sounds really grumpy now that he doesn't have his curls anymore.
• PETA supporter Pink came to the rescue of a dog thrown off a Los Angeles overpass and into a river ("Baxtered," shall we say) who was in dire need of emergency life-saving surgery. Pink footed the $5,000 vet bill after reading of the dog's plight on the Internet, contacting the Ace of Hearts animal rescue organization with an offer of help.
The dog, Stella, is doing just fine and has been adopted by a caring family. She is also adorable.
Pink's all about spreading the love this holiday season: She tweeted Thursday, "I hope every1 out there gets a big hug and feels super duper special at least 3 x this holiday. even if it's from a stranger. hugs r healthy."
Here's hoping Pink puts her money where her mouth is and starts giving out free hugs on Rodeo Drive.
• Madonna kind of looks like she's ready to play tonsil hockey with her android self in the ad for her new signature scent, Truth or Dare. She's also topless, wrinkle-free and showing some tongue.

When the song initially leaked several weeks ago, Madonna's longtime business partner Guy Oseary tweeted to fans that Madonna had said, "My true fans wouldn't do this."

• Matisyahu's patience has apparently disappeared with his curls and his facial hair. The usually affable rapper decided he was tired of having his photograph taken at a recent New York performance and deliberately stepped on a female photographer's face. That wasn't enough, apparently: He then got into the crowd and damaged her flash equipment. Someone's having a rough time, you guys.
• Matisyahu got off the hook for breaking crap, but Tyler, the Creator wasn't so lucky. The Odd Future rapper was arrested outside the Roxy in Los Angeles on Thursday night after he allegedly destroyed an electronic soundboard.
Apparently concertgoers booed and yelled at police officers as they cuffed the rapper and put him in a squad car. He was released on $20,000 bond on Friday morning after being charged with felony vandalism.
Oh no wait: He says none of this is true. On Friday morning, he tweeted, "Whoa, Its Stories On Me Being In Jail? The Fuck? I Wasnt In No Jail Or Arrested Or Nothing."
