American Idol's Adam Lambert was probably feeling a little less than glam after being released from police custody in Finland after getting into a physical altercation with his longtime boyfriend Sauli Koskinen in Helsinki.
Also, Lady Gaga has promised fans a special unreleased song for Christmas, Katy Perry has released a remix for "The One That Got Away," and R. Kelly is an accidental matchmaker.
• Adam Lambert and his boyfriend of many months, Sauli Koskinen, were both arrested after they took a bar brawl into the streets. Neither Adam nor his boyfriend were injured, however, so both were released after questioning.
But don't worry, Glamberts, Adam and Sauli are doing just fine. On Thursday morning, Sauli wrote on his blog, "Publicity is not easy, but also celebrities are just human. Love is not easy either, but it lasts forever!" Whatever that means.
By mid-morning Lambert tweeted, "Jetlag+Vodka=blackout. Us÷blackout=irrational confusion. jail+guilt+press=lesson learned. Sauli+Adam+hangover burgers= laughing bout it. :)"
We want mug shots so we can laugh about it too. Whaddya say, Adam?
• Lady Gaga is always talking about her symbiotic relationship with her fans, so it's no big surprise she's been "racking [her] brain" for just the right massive gift. While Gaga will not be able to make good on that free iPad promise made from her Twitter account earlier this week by some uninventive spammer, she will be treating her Little Monsters to a new song.
On Wednesday evening, Gaga tweeted, "On Christmas Day I will leak to you an unreleased Song off Born This Way! It was recorded live, in one take, on the tour bus. Uncensored."
In the meantime, appease yourself with Gaga's holiday hit "Christmas Tree." Because no one drops clumsy double entendres quite like Mother Monster.
• These days, you haven't fully pimped a single until you've released an official remix. The latest comes courtesy of Katy Perry, who turned to rapper B.o.B. to add some pep to her mid-tempo tearjerker "The One That Got Away."
In one of two verses, B.o.B. raps "Why you have to end the show? / We had such a beautiful plot / There was still more story to go." Unfortunately, they're rather jumpily integrated into the rest of the song, which remains unchanged. It's no "Sleazy 2.0 (Get Sleazier)."
• R. Kelly has announced plans to film 32 more chapters in his mind-boggling R&B opera opus Trapped in the Closet. This is, of course, if he can find someone to fund said chapters, but we're guessing there's at least one wealthy investor-type who's just itching to find out what "the package is." I'm secretly hoping it has something to do with David Bowie and Spandex, but I'm a very odd person.
The more interesting story – until those chapters happen, anyway – is that two of the hip-hopera's stars are now happily married, having fallen deeply in love while R. Kelly forced them to lip-sync to his own voice. Actors Rolando Boyce and LeShay Tomlinson, who play Rufas and Cathy, respectively, were married in 2008.
Sadly, the man responsible for the madness won't have his autobiography out in time for Christmas, so this brilliant cover can't be a stocking stuffer until next year:
